L'Espoir

Satoshi Yagisawa received three instructions for this work: it should be a short, appealing piece of music that is easy to remember; it should be suitable as a choral exercise; and it should be a proper encore number for the client's annual concert. Yagisawa then composed a magnificent, warm sounding work, which fulfils all three conditions and is also perfectly suited as an intermezzo in a concert.
