A Vision of the First Light

"A Vision of the First Light" was commissioned by the Kitami Wind Ensemble on the occasion of its 30th anniversary. Satoshi Yagisawa composed the piece to create an "illusion of Hokkaido at dawn". The work begins with a quiet and beautiful introduction describing the landscape. The music increases to a festive fanfare before a deep serenity comes at the end.
