It Takes Five To Tango

Gordon Lewin's fantastic It Takes 5 to Tango contains three tangos of medium difficulty evocative of the avenidas and barrios of South America, all set for Clarinet Quintet. Melancholic, nostalgic, sultry and seductive, thetango was once dubbed a scandalous pastime, with its smile of hope, and lament of bitterness, set to the sob of the bandonion, but here transcribed for clarinet quintet.
