This choral piece has a very joyful message to it. The source for this edition is Georg Friedrich Handels Werke, Volume 17, published by Breitkopf and Hartel in 1866. The original has been transposed down one whole step. Scored originally for S.A.T.B. voices with an accompaniment offerumpets, timpani, oboes, violins, viola and continuo, this edition includes a keyboard reduction of the instrumental parts as the accompaniment. Modern clefs, tempo and dynamic indications, and new words have also been added to this edition.
