The White Stone

"The White Stone" was commissioned by the music band of the Catholic parish of Dossenheim on the occasion of the 1250th anniversary celebration of the city of Dossenheim near Heidelberg. The work is named after the "White Stone", a high mountain east of Dossenheim. The composer uses the song "Wie schön bist du, mein Dossenheim" in different ways and describes the history and landscape of this idyllic city. A demanding and versatile concert piece with numerous beautiful melodies!
