Karel Husa (b. 1921) is an American composer who was born and raised in Czechoslovakia. His Concerto For Trumpet And Wind Orchestra (1973) was commissioned by two American National Band Fraternities,and premiered at their Biennial convention by the National Inter-Collegiate Band.
