Knocking at Heaven's Gate briefly brings us into contact with heaven by way of music. It has beautiful solos for euphonium and flugelhorn, a star role for the trumpets and trombones, but it is also a joy to play for the entire band! Ethereal echoes, expressive melodies, powerful tuttis and radiant chords: there is a lot to be enjoyed by everyone, including the audience.
