This guitar quintet is an arrangement of the 4th movement of my Concerto for Guitar and Orchestra - “Ceilidh”. Although “Ceilidh” is a cheerful, jaunty work, the 4th movement - the Sarabande - is a thoughtful elegy. In the Guitar Concert this movement ends with a short funeral march.
