Descrizione
Meingosus Gaelle trat 1769 in das Kloster Weingarten ein. 1777 wurde er Priester, wirkte später als Lehrer für Philosophie und Mathematik in Weingarten und Professor für Dogmatik und Kirchengeschichte in Salzburg. Komponist aus Liebhaberei, vertonte er die "Schwäbische Schöpfung" von Sebastian Sailer (1714-1777) als "comische Oper" für drei Singstimmen - Gottvater (Bass), Adam (Tenor) und Eva (Sopran) - und ein Ensemble aus Flöte, Viola, Violoncello und Harfe.
