Virgil Thomson was and still is renowned for his musical 'portraits' of friends and famous personalities of the day. These four have been transcribed for Cello and Piano and include the poet Lise Deharme, designer Max Kahn, thegreat Pablo Picasso and Thomson's friend Flavie Alvarez de Toledo.
