Symphonie Espagnole

Firmly rooted in the standard violin repertoire, Symphonie Espagnole is a brilliant work that showcases the violin's lyrical beauty and technical virtuosity with a Spanish style. After keeping the opening solo passage, the powerful melodies are then passed throughout the orchestra. The first movement is arranged here for string orchestra, shortened and simplified for playability. However, Lalo's original fiery masterpiece comes through clearly. The timpani part is included, and highly recommended, to achieve the most authentic sound.
