Daniel In Babylon

A Monodrama with music. Drama by John Stuart Anderson.

This work comprises the Old Testament story of Daniel, The Burning Fiery Furnace, Belshazzar's Feat, the Lions' Den, Sussanah and the Elders and Bel and the Dragon.All the characters are portrayed by one actor in a highly charged Monologue. Used extensively throughout as a backcloth, the musical score also contains a Prelude and Epilogue besides the Motets - which may either be declaimed bythe narrator accompanied by the organ, or sung by a choir.
