Although not ignored, the Second Edition of Geminiani’s Op. 2 Concertos has received little attention from commentators, editors and performers, compared to the 1732 ‘main version’ of the concertos.

Geminiani’s six Concertos Op. 2 were first published in 1732, in an edition prepared under the direct supervision of the composer and published at his own expense. In 1751 a new edition was published, ‘printed for the Author by John Johnson’.
