Adler had set three poems of Pulitzer prize-winning poet Donald Justice for voice and piano, specifically for the marvelous voice of Renee Fleming. He was then asked to orchestrate the songs for premiere by the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, and added a fourth Justice poem "to round out the cycle and strengthen it." A piano/vocal score is available (CY2854, $14.25), and we are pleased to now offer the full orchestra score, as well.
