“Summer Time & Winter Feeling” was commissioned by the Musikverein Winterspüren 1920 e. V. and its conductor Marco Geigges. Winterspüren is a suburb of Stockach in the south of Baden-Württemberg. The literal translation of the place name Winterspüren into English results in Winter Feeling, which became part of the title.
