Aureus

This composition was written on the occasion of a golden jubilee and therefore bears the Latin word for "gold" as its title. The first and third movements are the setting to music of the terms joy and celebration that are appropriate for an anniversary: dynamic, energetic and extroverted. The middle part has a rather introverted, melodic character. Aureus is based on a newly composed festive chorale that symbolizes the important values of human life, but also of community life - such as love, friendship, health and happiness.
